by Stavros Gasparatos & Lars Jan

The exhibition presented at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center tells the story of a woman's journey through time and distance, is an incident of immersion in an audiovisual environment broadcast through an audio time-lapse technique applied by Stavros Gasparatos.

The visual material is represented by Lars Jan through the figure of a woman floating hundreds of kilometres along the Acheloos River, drifting in the river's flow.

The images were projected through a hole in the screen onto the HD mirror and then reflected onto the OPERA  WHITE projection screen.

This unique installation presents a coexistence of light, image and sound that breaks the limits of realism and "interprets" life through the sounds that surround us.
