The partnership between Gerriets and VITRA, which has now lasted almost 15 years, has recently been extended with the fitting out of a further VITRA showroom in the heart of London.
The Sound Curtain OFFICE from Gerriets was born in August 2008, when Gerriets GmbH refurbished its offices at the headquarters in Umkirch and came up with the idea of separating the meeting zones with a sound curtain, which has its origins as the so-called "Gerriets sound blocker" on opera and theatre stages. This sound blocker avoids rebuilding noises between the individual acts in the direction of the audience. This creative and unusual idea developed into a separate business division for the Gerriets company, with globally networked partners and distribution with the OFFICE sound curtain, which has already won several awards.
