Project

• Reopening of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden after general renovations.
• Production of the main curtain made of CLIVIA 600 stage velour in a customized red tone; decorated with precious golden applications such as embroidery, special fringes and a border; dimensions of the main curtain: 22.0 x 10.0 m (72 x 33 ft).
• Production of a sample curtain in a custom red, which served as the pattern for the wooden stencil; dimensions of the sample curtain: 10.0 x 3.4 m (33 x 11 ft).
• Delivery of a 20.0 m (66 ft) long, modular designed and motorized scissor track system FENCE; allowing for the main curtain to be opened horizontally for a Greek opening or vertically for a German opening.
• Fabrication of a 7-layer sound curtain for the acoustical separation of the main stage and the auditorium; outer layer of stage velour CLIVIA 600; measured sound insulation level of 18 dB; dimension of the sound curtain: 17.5 x 12.5 m (57 x 41 ft).
• Delivery of various curtains for the rehearsal stage 1; made using black ASCONA 570 velour; installed on TRUMPF 95 tracks.

Project

• Manufacture and installation of a FENCE scissor track system which contains a divided two-way scissor made of high precision angle steel; each scissor section includes a bracket to suspend the curtain.
• Track size of 2,00 x 7,75 m (6'6" x 24'4") with a total weight of approximately 900 kg.
• Complete bi-part traveler curtain system; when the control system is disconnected, manual operation is possible.
• Manufacture and installation of a bi-part main curtain made from ALICANTE CS stage velvet; in a custom dyed red.
• Manufacture and installation of a bi-part lining curtain made from SATIN CS drapery fabric; in black.

Project

• Specialized, heavy-duty, FENCE curtain machinery for main curtain.
• System raises and lowers from grid for system maintenance and to easily change rigging between tab and traveler curtain-opening styles.
• For tab style, curtain lifts to 41 ft (12.50 m) at 5 ft/sec. (1.5 m/s) max. speed; for traveler, it lifts 57 ft (17.5 m) at 10 ft/sec. (3 m/s).
• Total system weight 3,000 kg (6,614 lb).
• 12 motorized STRATUS systems with black SATIN CS draperies, each 10 ft wide x 77 ft high (3 m x 23.6 m).
