PVC Projection Screen Supply Update: What You Need to Know

11/04/2026, Ewing, NJ

Dear Valued Customer,

We were recently made aware of a regulatory change that affects the availability of most of our PVC projection screen products.

Under a revised ruling issued pursuant to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is banning phenol, isopropylated phosphate (PIP 3:1), a plasticizer and flame retardant commonly used by flexible PVC manufacturers for many years. After October 31, 2026, goods containing this additive cannot legally be sold within the U.S. The rule concerns importing, manufacturing, distribution and sales only, so if you already have these screens in place, or in use, nothing is required of you.

Most of our projection screens were formulated with this additive. We’ve temporarily stopped offering them in the United States while our raw material suppliers work on reformulated alternatives. We expect our PVC projection screens to be unavailable for several months. As soon as new material is approved and we have firmer lead times, we’ll share them with you.

Please note that this rule affects only our PVC projection screens, not our PVC Flooring, FR and IFR fabrics. As an alternative, you may consider using several of our wide width muslin and projection fabrics until our PVC screens are available again.

We appreciate your patience while we work to solve this issue.
